Loren alves 500
My name is Loren Alves. I grew up in a small town in New Mexico, where I started drinking at 10 and using drugs by 13. By my first three months of college, I was using harder drugs and fueling a $500-a-day habit. I tried to stop on my own but couldn’t.

An invitation to an AA meeting gave me my first glimpse of hope, and on April 29, 1991, I took my last drink or drug, beginning a lifelong journey of sobriety.

In July of 2000, my first wife and I were told our unborn daughter would die before or shortly after birth.  I was fighting with God, looking for answers, but what kept coming up was I needed Jesus, not the "AA God" concept.  I was shown that by surrendering to Jesus I was guaranteed I would be be with her again.  I gave my life to Jesus on July 17th, 2000.

That surrender began a process of healing and restoration, but the years that followed were not without struggles.

After a high-conflict divorce in 2010, I battled demonic oppression in areas of lust and sexual immorality, masking the pain by turning to "substance free" solutions instead of Jesus.

Over the years, I’ve faced trials that could have destroyed me, including a brain injury in 2017 and a stroke in 2022.  Jesus has healed my brain and fully restored my mind!  The enemy thought he had me, but Jesus said he is MINE!

Today, I am passionate about helping Christians struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression and other spiritual oppression, especially when life throws unexpected curve balls.

My mission is to empower others, share the victory I’ve experienced, and remind them that they are never alone.
